Little Breton has finally been given a real name. Introducing Maenhîr.
Maenhîr means standing (or long) stone, and they'll be a feature of the final game that should become clearer fairly soon.
Last week I pushed the first version of Maenhîr [v0.CHIM] to Itch.io Refinery. This is a limited distribution build for a few friends to get a first-look at what I've been up to. It's not a secret, though, everything I pushed out is shown in the video above.
One of my goals this year was to get the build into a shape that I could share. Not necessarily a gameplay build, but releasing anything does force me to get all the game-flow in place, make sure my work is clean and stable, and that you can exit back to the desktop without your PC exploding. It's a nice hurdle to officially jump over. It wasn't bug-free (see: the bug list) but I've fixed most of the problems that have been found so I'm in a good place to move forward.
Next year I'm going to slowly open up the build to more people, through Itch, so join the Discord (check the video) if you want to be in with a chance of getting a look at the development builds.
